Introducing myself

My name is Charles, but I use Chuck as my nickname.  I have with NA for six years after taking an in house program at Bellwood in Toronto, Canada.  I was in Bellwood for 45 days in 2000 and then after graduating from there I was in two years of aftercare.  I am addicted to a painkiller, which I was originally exposed to as a young adult because I suffer from migraine headaches.  My clean date is August of 2000 and I have been a member of NA in various groups over the years.  I live in the country now having moved in 2004, and I have been looking for an online vehicle for some time.  It seems right to me that I found this forum on New Years Day of 07.  I work in the Canadian College system as a Manager of various programs.  I am also an instructor and I teach HRM courses in class and online.  I am not at all comfortable with this communication vehicle as yet so if you have any tips on how I can get familiar with everything please let me know.  I plan to attend one of the online meetings and I am certainly looking forward to it.

I am sincerely looking forward to it.  It has been awhile since I attended my last NA meeting and I am desperately in need of some sense of spirituality in my life.  I don't feel that I am anywhere close to relapse, but I do feel that there is definitely something missing.  I do a 'feelings check' with my spouse on a very regular basis.  I learned this in a mens' feelings group but every time I get to how I am feeling regarding spirituality I am drawing a complete blank.  That isn't healthy.  I am not sure if I should be sharing here on the Message Board, in the chat room or both.  Anyway, this is day one of my involvement in this group with hopefully many great days, and great discussions ahead.

You are welcome to share anywhere you like, on the message board in the chat room or the on line meeting . all shares are welcome here. I like to share on the message borad because I often get feed back from others, it always helps me to get another point of view on things.

I'm glad you found us!

Welcome home

Greetings Chuck, and welcome home to Miracles In Progress. Glad we have you here with us.

Online NA recovery has been a very significant part of my daily recovery over the last two years now. In fact, I even work my Steps with my eSponsor. Face-to-face or Cyberspace, there is God's Grace!

I'm Tahir, in recovery for over two and a half years now, from India.

Hugs, Love, Light ~ Tahir.
