doing the step work we have posted, starting with newcomer stuff

it isnt aproved by world

but it is really cool stuff that makes us feel apart of.

so,who wants to do this with me?

we can do this together, and build unity

these where worksheets i got in louisiana, but they traveled.

found them in georgia and florida as well.

i use them with all the newcomers i sponsor.

HI Wendy,
I find motivation in a lot of places. Pain is a big one. I never want to go back to living the way I used to live. When I find myself in the place that I am feeling like I used to feel I know dern well that I need to get moving on the steps. Sponsoring people helps to motivate...try talking recovery without doing the work..sponsees keep me moving. My sponsor keeps me moving..by leading, not by pushing. Watching newcomers come into the meetings and share how they are hurting helps to keep me moving away from my past....I need their reminders as bad or worse than they need me.
The biggie..gratitude; I need to remember all of the blessings of recovery. Things I would never have known about myself if I had not found the rooms of NA. Gratitude keeps me willing. I need reminded from time to time that I need to do the work to get the rewards, and memories of rewards from previous step work keeps me walking on the path of recovery.

I just look around at the miracles, both outside of myself and within...and I know I am on the correct path.

Lon

Well, Peggy, Dalin and Lon covered it all, I guess

Also, meeting all of you in the fellowship on a regular basis is a great motivation for me. Like seeing an addict seeking experience, strength and hope on how to motivate oneself in recovery as you are doing, Wendy, and all of you sharing with each other on the issue. Isn't that great that we all are involved in these issues today, instead of discussing which pusher has the best stuff and which drug is more better? ISN'T THAT THE GREATEST MIRACLE THAT I COULD EVER GET TO WITNESS AND EXPERIENCE?

Great miraculous shares like BigV becoming a contractor, Eric getting a cool camera and an opening as a professional photographer, Raman having succesfully pursued and completed many higher qualifications in his educational pursuits in recovery, when I log in here and get to hear these miracles every now and then, I know for sure that IT REALLY REALLY WORKS! And that is where I draw my motivation from...

Thank you guys, for sharing your recovery with me.

I love each one of you dearly, and I need you all in my recovery.

Grateful to be a part of.

Hugs, Love, Light ~ Tahir.
