Hello Family and Friends!

We are trying to establish this online NA group solidly and need all the support and help we can get to do this.  Our first step is having a group business meeting where the group needs will be discussed and group members will either volunteer or be elected to provide specific group related services.

We are having our first group business meeting on Sunday October 29th at 9 AM eastern time. 

No matter how long you have been in NA, or if you are new to NA, Your support, encouragement, participation and involvement in this groups establishment is needed, valued and appreciated.

We are going to try to cover alot of ground during this business meeting, so it will require everyone's patience and understanding.

On our agenda at this time is;

1. Recruit and/or vote on the following Service Workers;

• Chairpersons, Room Monitors, Message board monitors, e-mail correnspondents, Group Conscious meeting chairperson, group secretary.

   2. Establish two regularly scheduled NA Topic discussion meetings per week in our online meeting room, and discuss the format for those meetings. Also being addressed is the importance of the chairperson showing up early at each meeting to honor their group committment, and group members showing up at the meetings to share ES&H, and show support for the chairpersons, the newcomer and the group as a whole.

   3. Establish a regularly scheduled Group Conscious/Business meeting once a month. (example; Last Sunday of each month at 9 AM est)  Group Secretary will notify group members of these meetings 72 hours in advance via email reminder.  Establish protocol for emergency/random group business meetings as deemed nescessary by the Group Conscious Chairperson and/or Secretary.

   3. Determine the fesibility of establishing a "Welcome to NA" information package to be emailed to new comers that join our group.  What the email package would consist of, and recruit or vote on a group member(s) to provide this "Welcome Committee" Service Work should it be determined to be a worthy endeavor by the group.

  4. Creating a group member list, for those who want to make this their online Home Group with the members first name and last initial, nickname, clean date and email address and date of becoming a Home group member.  This list will be held in confidence by the group secretary for the purpose allowing us as a group to recognize group members clean date anniversaries, communicate via email with registered group members, etc.

We will have the floor open for suggestions, Q&A, etc for a short period of time, and what we can't cover during this meeting will be tabled pending our next scheduled meeting.

In closing let me state that we have almost 800 people registered on our group message board.  (http://na.activeboard.com) Everyone who walks through our doors online here is valuable to us. We need your support and participation in making the Miracles In Progress Group of Narcotics Anonymous a successful, effective endeavor of carrying the message of NA to the still sick and suffering addict. 

Please provide us with the support we need by attending our monthly Group Conscious meetings, and as many weekly scheduled NA topic discussion meetings as possible.
