SOMETHING GOOD TODAY

I went to a crosby, stills, nash and young concert tonight. It was so unbelievably fun.I felt alot of joy and life back inside me again.I played thier records over and over when i was about 16.to see them all together,at age 46,was so special to me.I never realized how meaningful and timeless the lyrics to thier songs were. There was a piece where they showed the faces of the military fatalities while they sang a song with it,and looking at those young beautiful people that died in the military over there in the middle east, made me cry.I feel like there is so much life ahead, and when i realized i was doing what i wanted to be doing, and it was life giving,i feel like i want more.im so greatful i got to hear awsome music today, and i feel like lifeis good.im grateful for one more day of sobriety.

yes-I love music and I felt like it was interesting that it was really nostalgic of going back to the sixies when people protested etc.they closed with the song woodstock, and i quietly had scooted up to an empty seat by the stage and could see them close for at least that last song.the crowd was older so it was a very melow concert, where no mosh pit (ha ha) etc,and it was alot of fun.

Well people are still protesting and alot of music has come out in the last few years protesting this war look at Greenday even hip hop rap groups have come out with songs protesting, country music ? look at the dixie chicks lots of music speak politics.

Sounds like that was a really nice concert i'm kicking myself for not going I live no more then 5 minutes walking distance from the stadium and have'nt been to but a basketball game and ice hockey event need to get to a concert there someday.

there are so many things that are for the taking, not stealing I mean seeing enjoying, smelling touching and hearing. I saw Crosby, Stilil , Nash and Young In Cleveland Ohio

I won two tickets on the radio station and the response to Neal Young was  by far greater than the other players, if I remembr he had that album out lying in the burntout basemant, boy isn't that a song of that eara.  Something good happened to me today I went to a noon meetign of NA, shared , had great fellowship. Last night we celebrated 25 years of clean time with a fellow member at his house and his wife, it turned into a pool party  playing the Tempations, the Drifers, the Jake Ils band, it was wild, cake, food, fellowship, I am a massage therapist and I gave him a coupon for a massage (full body) at his convience , imagine that no dope and we can and do have fun, what a concept, Good things come to those that wait around from them to happen, Miraces are all around us, after all we are the true mircles, we have made it. GOD has a plan and I'm excited to find out what part I will have in it. So something good happened today, I met another addict, not in a dope hole but one just like me striving to life life on lives terms and Just For Today, I can. With the love of the fellowship      Barbara P

While up in the hills this weekend I found out that one of the old drug addict / alchoholics up (55 year old guy)there that I had gotten to know and had done some talking to last year about getting clean had died, he choked on his vomit while loaded a few weeks ago. I was hoping to see him again but he was in such bad shape the last time I saw him I knew he was nearing death, very sad news he was a nice guy even drunk......God Bless him sometimes we miss the miracle train.

sorry to hear about your friend big v.thats heartbreaking.my son's friend is 26 and he sounds like he's in hallucinations and paranoia,he's been addicted to smoking meth for several years now,and my son said he's to the point where he thinks "ufo's" are communicationg with him,and people are following and tapping his phone etc.it hurts to know he went to an expensive rehab- sent by his parents, and he was such a good kid.i knew him since about age 13.
