Introductions & Isolation

My sponsor suggested the other night to check out NA online. I'm a stay home dad with 6 young children, a beautiful girl born on May 9th. It was great to find this site last nite...It's sometimes hard to get to all the meetings I'd like to. I'm excited to be part of the community here. My biggest challenge is my relationship with my wife. She is not in the program..I get comments like "Why do you need to go to another meeting, you already have been to one today". I have to constantly fight for my recovery (not a bad thing to do). Thanks for reading and listening..My name is wildbill and I'm an addict

RE: Introductions & Isolation

Have you suggested to your wife, NarANon or if no meetings are in your area AlaNon just ask her to attend a few and if after several she does not feel they are not for her OK. I have found for myself that a lot of people in my life had a vested interest in ME not finding recovery as sick as I was/am they received a real "payoff" in me staying just as I was. With recovery comes a change that spreads to all thoose around me some liked it some resented it.
