Clean Time Celebration Question

Just had a quick question, new to the forums, wasn't sure where else to ask this.

Tomorrow, I celebrate 6 months clean. I am working the next 10 days straight due to an election in my home state. My clean date is February 5th. Can I wait to celebrate once I'm able to fit a meeting into my work schedule, or if I don't celebrate tomorrow and go for seven days, will I not be able to collect my key tag?

Haven't asked my sponsor yet, just searching for some suggestions before I go to him.

Of course you can "celebrate" after the fact. That said a week plus without a meeting early in Recovery would not have been a good thing for me.

Yes, of course. I've done it many times.

Yes you can celebrate anytime after your clean date.My last celebration I had to wait till my sponsor got a Sunday off from work, that's when my home group meets .

yep.
I mean 'ditto'
you earned the tag, when you pick it up has nothing to do with it.
But, missing meetings for 10 days is a concern.

Ditto and congrats and Welcome to MIP...............staying close to others working recovery ,especially early is highly recommended.......90/90  IS suggested,I'll let you find it in Basic Text,,these expeditions in reading and incorporating the words ,,thoughts and actions into our daily lives was very helpful to me early on and to this day.I share with my sponsees that I call this the Treasure Hunt'..Have a blessed and productive day...smile
