The reviews on Amazon indeed make this work of fiction sound like a great read for anybody who wants to really know what addition is like. However, personally I have no need or desire to read a work of fiction about the depths of hell I've already lived and understand quite well. I may have 31 years Clean but the memories of China White's pits of degradation are ever there should I but access them. I've sat in countless rooms and heard the real deal shared over and over by countless addicts. No, my reseach if over. Just for today I choose to focus on the positive, I choose Freedom from Active Addiction by the Grace of my Higher Power whom I choose to call God through the Power of NA.
