Gaining Back Trust

So I am 13 days clean and feeling pretty damn great about it, got great support from most of my family. Thats the problem... there are 2 very important people in my life, my father and boyfriend, that want this to "work" as quickl as possible and want to see a change right away. I told them I can only do it one day at a time but they just don't get it..... any advice on how to explain it better or should I just say screw em for now and just focus on me?

I wouldn't say screw em but the focus has to be on you. Recovery is a process. First we learn to put down the drugs, then we learn to put down the sick behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes. Congrats on 13 days clean.

You are the most important person in your own recovery, all people recover at a different pace. It's obvious they care, just concentrate on your recovery they will see progress.
