Admission, acceptance and a willingness to do whatever it takes can begin the healing.Yes Like Don says locate thru the helpline a meeting place, get with people just like you seeking the "solution" a day at a time. You have taken a big step reaching out here, the journey to a "new way of life" can begin but it takes some work.....WE can identify with your feelings and WE know there is a process,THE NA way of life , based on the evidence, that presents a message of hope and a promise of freedom from active drug addiction. In support and prayer ,hope to see you back.............

Welcome home, yes, we do help each other stop using and find a new way to live. You are at the right place, keep coming back!
There's nothing like making a face-to-face NA meeting everyday to be able to stop using. It worked for me, try it... fellowship hugs!

Go to a meeting, there you will learn more about NA, what we do, and how we do it. It's a very simple program that can and will save your life, if you work it to the best of your ability. Recovery is possible for anybody, no matter who you are, what you look like, what you've used or how much you've used, what you've done in your life/addiction- ANY addict can stay clean. My biggest tip for you is keep willingness in mind. I had to stop with the excuses, and get willing to take the simple suggestions, like get a sponsor, a home group, read the literature and work the steps, start developing relationships with others in the program (currently working on that last one). I came here once before and I got clean for a little while, but I wasn't recovering. I was going to the meetings and that was it (literally)- eventually, though my constant excuses, I stopped doing that too. Without that willingness, I relapsed. But relapse doesn't have to be a part of anybody's story. Honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness were the keys for me, among many other addicts I'm sure. It is a wonderful program, it changed my life, it changed my perspective on life- it changed everything for me. I'm grateful that I am an addict today, I don't regret anything I've done out there- because it was my addiction that made me who I am. I'm able to be grateful, I'm able to be compassionate and kind to others, I can experience serenity and happiness today (I was a very spoiled, ungrateful, hateful and miserable brat before I picked up drugs). This is a new way to live, and I was able to learn how to love myself and my life through this program. My active addiction knocked me down and tore me apart, NA brought me back to life. Without that suffering though, I would have never known true peace and happiness. It's worth it, and you are worth it. If nobody has told you that they love you today, I do!
Get yourself in a detox program,go to NA meetings. Most of all don't use.Change associates and friends, old hangout's .Addiction is living hell and not easy to quit. You can we all have it in ourselves to beat the damm drugs.Just try, try, try, you will get better.
