I got the pleasure of riding in the car with my husband's sponsor last weekend to our GSU meeting (yes, we're implementing the new service structure). He has 26 years in Narcotics Anonymous and speaks of the "gifts" of recovery often. He's so inspiring!
Every goal he's had that he's worked for has come true. He says often that if we don't work for them, they will not happen.
He was struggling with what to do now that most of the goals he'd aspired for have come to fruition. Then he remembered a dream from his youth: owning a ranch in Wyoming.
He's dealing with drug-induced short term memory loss at age 58 and said, "life isn't getting any shorter! I'm gonna do it!"
He says he wants 3 horses: "one for me, and one for each of you when you come and visit."
