I have 68 days clean and sober and plan to stay that way.  Unfortunately, some loved ones are having trouble believing that I am really clean and sober.  I can't really blame then for this, since I hid my Heroin use from them for several years.  I am hoping y'all might be able to give me some input on ways to help them to alleviate their anxiety and fears.  Thank You!! Jaime

time takes time


suggesting nar-anon is one way


actions speak louder than words


as long as you know you are clean and sober thats what really matters


there may not be anything you could say to "prove" yourself


they have to deal with their own issues bottom line


we are not only powerless over chemicals but others


and i was told what others think of me is none of my business:)

Stay clean and work the program, as you change and grow they'll see it too. We commit so much wreak and ruin that it's har for our loved ones to believe that we'll ever change and some wounds take longer to heal then others. But hang in there. Bob.

This is an issue we all ahev to face sooner or later===


incredulity of associates, family, friends when we say weve gotten clean,,,,


In my case the belief came quickly that i cannot convince anyone,,,, (least of all my in laws of that time,, to whom i was an out law !!!)


however they will believe when they see me acting clean, respectful, serene(sober)


the most important thing is the Just For today=


JUST FOR TODAY,,, I WILL HAVE FAITH IN SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES IN ME AND WANTS TO HELP ME IN MY RECOVERY!!!!


Keep Coming Back,,, it dosent matter if they dont believe you !!!
