"Before coming to the Fellowship of N.A., we could not manage our own lives.
That's the first sentence in our N.A. literature. Pretty powerful,it was for me.
I remember my first meeting, and how it was this very reading that got me crying and thinking;This was me!!
I didn't know how to live without using and the lifestyle I had become accustomed to.And I didn't know how to face life on it's own terms. It was because of my addiction I landed in prison and there is where I discovered N.A. Jails,institutions,and death... 1 down and 2 to go,did I really want to go on to the bitter end-or did I want to find a new way to live without the use of drugs...I'm sick and I need help!!! Well that's why I'm here. I know I'm not alone, through the fellowship of N.A., having a HigherPower whom I call God, my sponsor, working the 12 steps, networking, becoming a sponsor and most importantly delivering the message of Hope to the addict who is still sick and suffering; I will keep coming back to show my gratitude to a place I call home-Narcotics Anonymous

thank you my brothers in the 12 step program. I hope more will be shared by those have been in recovery and those who just started, the experiences, strength,and hope are revealed the better recovery we will have. You can only keep what you have by giving it away!!!!

I still can't manage my own life. This is proven to me daily. I rely on my sponsor, my support group, and my conscious contact with the God of my understanding. Without these gifts that the program has given me, i would be lost and adrift, bouncing franctically from one "answer" to another. I love the spirituality I have found in NA. I love the fact that I have some real friends. I love that I have a place to go to everyday where I don't have to explain myself to be understood. This program is working miracles in my life. And that's why I keep coming back.
