hi im todd ive been battling addiction for 6 years now, ive tried an outpatient program and have put several poriods of being clean together only to relaps again, im working with a therapist for the addiction and issues with my childhood and thought i would try the online meetings, im a single father and work 2 jobs so i can fit these into my schedule, so hi and best wishes to everyone
Online meetings are ok, but they do not have anywhere near the impact of face 2 face meetings. I suggest you go to NA.org...enter your zip code in the 'find a meeting' section and attend in person. It's hard to get started in the program i know...it was for me. But it's a life saver, and the peace of mind you can find is worth it's weight in gold. Peace to you, and thanks for posting.
I have health issues so for myself personally on-line has saved me from addiction. I do go to meetings when I can but they have been very limited going to face to face (home group) meetings. I don't really do on-line meetings much anymore, I do boards like this, I call people, and have learned a lot from the things that I do on a daily basis.
I just had a year yesterday so I know it is possible.
Change happens if we are ready and allow ourselves to change.
Nice to meet you and best of luck!

Welcome. Like was said earlier, online meetings are useful, but in-person meetings are essential. I need to be around real people in real time who can help me. Keep coming back!
