Not only do we celebrate a DAY OF INDEPENDENCE, a national holiday ,but we as addicts also celebrate a 'day' of independence from the devastation of active drug addiction,something we celebrate each day..To be lucid and clean ,time shared with family,(that actually want me around) topped off by a homegroup meeting tonight may seem docile to some but my fireworks came quite a few cups of coffee ago ,with surrender and  also and a march toward daily victory with the promise of FREEDOM from active addiction, guided by my Higher Power and practiced through the work in Narcotics Anonymous. Declare your independence today,sign that declaration in your heart and actions of finding that "new way to live" a day at a time with us.If you are new here welcome ,if you been around for a minute ,welcome...make this day another day to be truly grateful,,,, you never have to use drugs again and with our "solution" the steps, you can live better than you ever have.
