and a little creativity. My brand-new NA Group is, of course, broke as a joke. Well, I have started writing blog essays on an independant blog site. Every time one of my essays is popular enough to make it to the home-page, they send me a check for $20.00
I write for fun, anyway. I'm gonna take these $20 checks and put them in my group's till. The way I see it, unless a wealthy addict walks in and says "You need BOOKS!" and writes us a big fat check...things is gonna be LEAN for a loooooonnnnggggg time.
I made the group $40.00 so far.
Which brings me to a question....
If your group could only have ONE piece of literature (besides schedules) to hand out...what would it be?
Absolutely the white book...My home group gives one to newcomers along with a meeting list and phone numbers. I would be very interested in reading your blog. Can you provide a link? peace
Oh definitely the white booklet. We were having all kinds of controversy at our area meeting last month and I reminded everyone, "all you really need for a meeting is two addicts... and a little white booklet is pretty helpful, too!"
