WHAT WOULD MY HIGHER SELF SAY?

I have been thinking and doing this myself - whenever stuck in my head or with people, places or things - I have to revert to something higher than me - Not only do I go to my HP but I have to really convince myself their is a Higher Self within me - (which is my HP) but sometimes I have to get on mind level (rational thought) and think my way thru - on a greater level - see sometimes the prayer and meditation and seeking spiritual guidance doesn't hit me to do these things - When I'm really in my stuff - So I have to get into rational thought - What would I truly tell myself or another - If I am honest I will tell the truth and truth always comes in the form of solution based..  Strong Suggestion - alot of stuff is going on with folks - but if you truly seek solutions - Look for the truth within yourself - Sometimes we like to spread the "mess" instead of the "message" If you looking for "recovery" then you have to stay in the solution or seek to find the truth within oneself.  If you are seeking chaos - then you will continue to seek - "Lies, confusions, misinformation and that always led to darkness.  And possible to "pick up" or just plain "crazy" and "miserable" - Recovery is about "Solution Seekers" we are fighting for our lives and we would love that each plays a part at helping, encouraging others.  I truly hope this helps keep our focus on whats important..

Manon - It truly isn't about you - This is only my experience - has no reflection what you may or may not be going thru - I was just using the forum to express - I have no say so on your experience - This is ONLY what I have been thinking about me..Thank you though

Beautiful Terry! I agree ,if we don't stay in the solution  our focus of what we are doing here,there or anywhere will seem meaningless.Now mind you,this is my stuff.I must work each day to stay God centered and focused on continued recovery through the grace of God.Along with honesty ,openmindedness,willingness,we also learn patience,tolerence and humility etc.For me ,when veering from that objective I set myself up for more pain then I care to endure.We are all at various stages of illness,recovery,serenity and peace with ourselves and others.I am also here as one trying to help another in our daily journeys of recovery.We relate in different ways but Im hoping it is always in a loving ,caring and encouraging manner..I want to love others as my God loves me,each day I set out to move toward that goal.....smile

Thank you for this beautiful message of recovery Terry.
I especially like where you talk about the "higher self" within you that is your Higher Power.
I always knew there was a higher self within me, though tapping into that part rather than the sick addict is challenging much of the time. I never realized that that higher self, is really my higher power expressing Himself in me, and even through me.
Much here for meditation practice.
Great stuff here girl, thanks again.

Hmmmmm,
someone once said
" we dont need trouble makers but trouble-shooters".

That old-timer who said that in a service conference gave me a powerful message;
these days it's all abut looking inward and looking for the source of dis-turbance there !

Sometimes i can get very self centered and think that people can read my thoughts or that Im the centre of their negative attention.

This reading in the 5th Step of It-Works clears the air by stating that humility is the beggining of getting ut of those negative situations.

Thanks for sharing that Raman, I don't know how, but whenever you look inward and share what you found, I could relate a lot with it, as if it's exactly what I go through from time to time, thank you so much for being here and sharing so honestly. Big Hugs!
