I am going back to a locked down facility for parole's , I was in the program myself back in the early 90's and this is my first time back behind the wire since 1995 when I paroled from prison for the last time, I have not been locked up since then so this is an entirely different experience for me and it's something i've wanted to do for several years now I was just waiting until I got worked through the steps, at least most of the way through, this is 12 step work for me.
Really hoping I might make a difference to someone in there who's ready to end there career in prison and who wants to maintain some sobriety, also give hope to those who've lost hope or don't think that there lives can change because I never dreamed i'd be where i am today and its only through working with God and having the desire to stay clean, the 12 step program of NA and AA that I have been able to stay clean and recover, I never want to go back to where I was at.
Just thought i'd share that with you guys and will give a follow up on how it went later this week.
Service is a part of keeping what we have, so give it way in order to keep it.

I'm pretty nervous not sure howq to share but once i get there and my turn comes up i'm sure god will guide my words and they'll hear what they need to hear, just hope it gets through to someone or one's.
Literature tells us"a simple honest message of recovery from addiction always rings true!"You got it,ask God in,share from your heart and someone will identify.Way to go Vin!

It went well, it wasn't mandatory they go so there was half a room full but must be the ones who WANT to hear the message and they were all gentleman.
Hell i met a few guys from the panel and got to hear there storys all good stuff hope the guys got the jist of our message because we all gave the same message pretty much, surrender yourself to God, work the program to the best of your ability, meetings, sponsor, steps, service and higher power hopefully a few catch on and grab hold.
