In the NA book "It works how and why, the twelve steps and twelve traditions of Narcotics anonymous" on page 148 It talks about aplying spiritual principles.
"The third tradition encourages freedom from judgement, it leads us on the path of service toward an attitude of helpfullness, acceptance and unconditional love...Some of the principles that support this tradition include tolerance, compassion, anonymity and humility."
We all have had are dark days with depression. So I can totally relate with Manon and Tisa2U My thoughts are that we should be first tolerant, compassionate to ourselves, so that we can be so to others.
Some people accept me here, some do not, but for anyone that has said a hateful thing toward me you are forgiven, or I am not true to the principles. If I have offended anyone then I'm sorry. I am humble enough to admit I am not perfect. No one is.
To all of us here:
Deep peace of the running wave to you. Deep peace of the flowing air to you. Deep peace of the quiet earth to you. Deep peace of the shining stars to you. Deep peace of the deep peace to you.

After 7 years clean I'm back on the 3rd step. It was where I left off when I stopped doing the steps. Its funny that all my problems with addiction (its manifestation other than drugs) have all been deeply buried in the 3rd and 4th step. Its funny how that works. Thanks for posting that
