Gratitude is an action, not an emotion...

I am grateful for my family... I tell them how much I love them often, spend time with them, and be there for them when they need me.

I am grateful for my friends... like my family, I tell them how much I love them often, spend time with them, and be there for them when they need me.

I am grateful for my job... I show up on time, and do my work to the best of my ability.

I am grateful for my truck... I keep it clean, change the oil, and perform other maintenance as required.

I am grateful for my health... I eat right, get exercise, get enough sleep, and take my bipolar, fibromyalgia, and ulcer meds according to Dr orders, visit the Dr, Psychiatrist, Therapist, and get Hep C and T3&T4 levels checked regularily.

I am grateful for my computer... I make my payments and perform regular system maintenance.

I am grateful for my home... I pay my rent on time, and keep my home clean.

I am grateful for my Kiki... I pet and play with her, keep her food and water bowls clean and full, give her newborn kitten formulae, clean her litter-box daily, check her for fleas and ear-mites, give her meds when needed, and will take her to the vet for shots as soon as she is old enough.

I am grateful for my recovery... I work Steps, go to Meetings, share my experience, strength, and hope, apply principles in my daily life, try to put principles before personalities, talk to my Sponsor frequently, and pray several times a day.

What are you grateful for? How do you show that gratitude??

I should be gratefull everyday of my life for being alive after all the things I have been through. Yet still I let resentments creep up on me. Heres my current gratitude list.

Maybe gratitude is an attitude also, a decision to look at the good rather then all the bad.

Gratitude makes  me grateful, I am grateful for what I have and for what I dont have I had to use that one the other day after surrendering to something I was powerless over and it helped.

If I didn't have gratitude today I would have given up on this whole thing a long time ago, thats my list.
