My name is michele, i live up in the jemez mountains in new mexico. today will be my first day clean. yesterday i smoked pot and today i have 4 days without meth. i am unable to go to "town" (albuquerque) to get to 90 meetings in 90 days as i live an hour from town and don't have a reliable vehicle. since i don't have the luxury of 90 in 90, can ya'll give me some other suggestions or a way to do them online. Also, 13 years ago i was to celebrate 11 years clean. I had fallen away from recovery and recovering people. Four days before my NA birthday I used. Since then I have not been able to get clean - or get the want to. Right now I am at the want to to want to get clean. Tonight (hopefully) a friend of a friend in recovery is coming up here and I might get to go to a meeting. I guess i should look for a sponsor there right?
congrats to your "first day".I believe they are working on the online meetings here.Someone will come on and help you get there(im going to try myself)great!! share recovery time however and whereever you can.It looks like you know the drill!TOTAL SURRENDER! keep coming back okay,we are here to share our ESH!You found us here so thats a least one avenue for ya. There are message boards, forums, online meetings... just do a search, you'll find LOTS of different sites. It's a good way to build a support network.
There's also NA literature online that you can read or print out. That includes actual whole NA books in PDF format. Literature has saved my behind when I had no other support available.
Yes, searching for a Sponsor at the meeting is a fantastic idea! You can even share that you are seeking Sponsorship and a support group and request for people to give you their number after the meeting.
Prayer of course is always a good idea.

Actually, White Rock is about 45 minutes away...do they have a cell phone..i don't have long distance but am looking for folks who can call for free after 9:00 pm to talk to. That way i can call them and they can call me back without it costing.
michelle,Keep trying no matter what.Getting clean is harder than going out to get what we needed before.Go online find NA groups online.There are ones on google,yahoo,msn network.Join and post.I hope someone around you steps up and gives you rides to meetings,it sounds like you want to go.Just keep praying and saying I can do it,I want to be clean.
well, i made it through the weekend by the grace of god... didn't even smoke pot. Friday I smoked pot but have stayed clean since then. today will be day 3. I think i found a local meeting up here once a week if the flyer was right and it is tonight at 7pm. I do want to get clean. I am so sick and tired of the living and mostly the thinking i have lived with now for so long. yesterday i stayed busy all day. even when watching tv, when the commercials came on i came into my office and read a book online. For me pot is the catylist for me using meth and i am finally admitting that. For so long now I thought i could just smoke pot. but i can't without going back to my drug of choice. Ya'll pray for me please and I pray for each of you too. This web page or whatever it is has been a life saver this weekend. I want it soooooo bad.
