We take each day with its ups and downs and try and make the best we can of them in recovery free and clean of "all" mind altering and mood changing substances,All that leaves us is "life on lifes terms with our character defects.(IS THAT ALL!!!!)Anyway please join me in a moment of joy as my 21 year old daughter gets married today.We have family from 5 different states coming in and are set for the celebration at 1:00p.m. in upstate New York...For me ,another day of life is a bonus ,and to be able to give my daughter away is truly an awesome event.Gratitude is something we always share about but for me it is days like this(with all its stress and strain)that remind me how blessed I really am.Thanks for letting me share this moment with everyone.I wish you peace for this day.Talk to you on the rebound MikeF

Hey Vinnie and Raman! Thanks for your well wishes.things starting to get back to "normal" kids are off to Disney world for 9 days..they arrived safely and having good time.God definitely blessed the ceremony holding off the rain and joining together 2 different cultures(mixed marriage)The only fly in the ointment was my mom(84 years old)she treats my kids like crap and Im like the grizzly bear in the den around my kids.My son Eric in recovery from his heroin addiction(hes 24,going on 2 years now)was treated like a leper.I know that as addicts we bring on the feelings others have toward us and like our spiritual principles teach we must deal with them,but i still get cranked..I'll approach her and let her know how I feel as not to hold any resentments(im working to hard to unleash the ones i have even after 25 years)she says whats on her mind(honesty) and uses no discretion(which in recovery takes practise and work)i am use to it but still and probably always will be protective of my den!thanks for letting me share that just came poppin out...anyway enjoy this day make the most of it. peace mikef How did youR management session go BigV?hope it was helpful.....
