Hello. I just happened upon this site while going through my favorites folder on AOL. Ironically, the site that I had clicked on had "moved" and this site had popped up. Well there you go. "Here's my sign". I am a drug addict and need help. I would love for someone to contact me on here to help me along. I want to stay. I want my life back. I want to stop hurting those that I love. I want understanding and answers. Am I asking for too much

I "stumlbled" upon this site as well at a time when I needed it the most. Finally have taken the steps to get my life back and feel wonderful. Congrats on your strength, its a big first step to realize you are powerless over your addiction and need help. We're all here for you!
I stumbled upon this site also over 2 years ago and have remained clean with a lot of help from others on this board.
Theres a meeting tomorrow that is chaired and then not another chaired meeting until next Tuesday and Wednesday, then Friday and Saturday again thats all we have coverage for unfortunately.
I can't thank everyone enough for the support. I am so thankful that I "happened" upon this site. It was a sign from GOD. I know this from the bottom of my heart. This next week will be easier for me as my father, brother, niece and nephews are here to celebrate the Christmas season with me. I will be pre-occupied the next week or so. After that it will become very difficult as I travel through this journey. I read something here that really "sunk in". It said if I continue on this dead end road I will either end up dead or in jail. WOW..That was powerful. Thank you so much . Happy Holidays to everyone. GOD BLESS. Dana
Welcome!! And no, you are not asking too much. Just remember, recovery, like everything else is a process and takes time. Being addicts, we have a need for instant gratification, no matter what.
