Today is my anniversary of 23 years clean! Other than a few chores I need to do today, I hope to read some NA literature, do something creative, and relax. If the rain lets up, I think I'll go for a walk on the beach or birding from Powder Point Bridge. Tonight I will speak at my homegroup, receive my medallion, and share cake and hugs with the members there.
Dear Blithe, congratulations on this special day. It sounds like you have choosen a good way to spend it and I wish I was there to share it with you. Thanks for all your wise and kind words, you keep me coming back for more.
Thank you all for your good wishes. I just got back from my home group, which was great. The only oddity was that I chose to not celebrate in the "normal" fashion for this area and some of the members don't understand that. Oh well.
I spoke with my sponsor before the meeting. He is pushing 30 years clean and still makes meetings, reads literature, is involved in service. His sponsor will celebrate 49 years clean next month and makes a meeting every day, reads literature, and sponsors others. Those two are my inspiration!
