Once in awhile I go off topic

Took a little prospecting trip yesterday to check out some new spots for gold and BEHOLD, there was fresh snow just up above where I was at, Uhmm huh it was cold had to get my hands in the water to sluice around my gold pan and they were frozen in minutes had to wera diving gloves just to stay warm, not much gold either but it was a nice scenic trip otherwise, enjoy the beauty of the Sierra Nevadas 35 minutes from me.

hey, i know we aren't supposed to go off topic, i personally do constantly.. but these pictures are awesome.. and is it really off topic to share experiences you're having that you wouldn't be if you were still using?

Well scott how right you are I wouldn't be bothering with all of this if I wasn't clean BUT this has become as much an obsession as my drug use was LOL

Honestly though I am getting into trouble and its causing conflicts, I spent to much money this year on this whole affair and am now broke when I should have thousands in the bank saved to get threw winter, my girlfriend doesn't like me trapsing off all the time especially when I go alone so i'm going to have to manage this better then I did my addiction HEH HEH

I have even considered moving up in elevation so i'm closer to it all, but my work is here :o(

The last 3 years or so it was fishing I went every single weekend just about year round this I even take off during the week to go up Friday I will be in another spot dredging and its going to be cold as w witchs britchs in that water but the lure of gold numbs a mans mind to all of that coldness .

Dearest Recovering Friends,

Woohoo! Thanks for those pics. It reminds me of Lake Tahoe. Since It is the closest to us and since It reminds me of how much fun we have haad every time we ever went up their. It has been so cold here. We have been in the 40's and the low 50's the past weeks. Until we finally had rain that has broken the cold spell for a little bit. Then it kicked back the temperatures down again. Freezing cold here Northeast of San Francisco, Calif. Our honey is even crystalized in the cupboard because of this weather. I could run the heater all the time but I don't feel it's necessary to run it all the time. Not with P.J.'s, Robe, slippies, and comforters made of down, plus more comforters, and more blankets.

I am headed off to my Blessed husband and Blessed bedroom, with our blessed Dog and go to sleep.

I am clean and Sober One Day at a time. Rendering myself Powerless to GOd Everyday eachday in JEsus name. Amen
Blessed

I think the photo is THE TOPIC! As everyone here has said, it's a gift you gave to all of us. And I can share some of that obsession with gold prospecting! We still have some good places to look here in Georgia and I've been to them all! Or at least a lot of them. I've found some balance with that this past year. Now I work on not losing the joy it brings me but not being unconsiderate to those that do care about me. So I let my kids know when I'm headed out by myself to play in the dirt and at least give them an idea of where I'm headed to. I pay bills first then buy a new pan. Since I usually go alone, I make sure I take time to pray there. Again, I think your photo is THE TOPIC and I for one am very grateful I found it today. Thank you. Deb

I will going out again this Friday LOL stay tuned for more pics and maybe even some video this time we will be dredging in the cold cold waters this time.

Blessed I have not turned my whole house heater on yet I have a space heater I run in my bedroom we run around in sweats here trying to save on my gas and electric bill this year. San Fran has temerate weather anyhow LOL I love the summer coolness there nothing like here in the central valley...my sister lives in Daly City .
