Sorry, I'm new to this whole thing. I just need some questions answered if possible. I have a relative that we know is taking Valium in very high doses. He is purchasing it in Mexico. We suspect that there is another drug that he is also using but we aren't sure. Is there another obvious drug that goes along with Valium abuse? Does Valium in high doses cause an adverse affect? He really seems to be on a hour-by-hour roller coaster. I know there is another name for Valium but I don't remember it. Any help would be wonderful.
The other name is diazepam (spelling?) umm, i can't think of a drug that would go with it specifically, most people that take pills just drink alcohol with it, valium in high doeses is really bad, valium abuse in any dose is bad, cuz it makes you very sedated and worry-free, so when you come down you feel very anxious and angry and on edge, so if he is taking it in high doses frequently, then im sure he's deff going thru a roller coaster, it's in a drug class called benzodiazepams (spelling??) and wtihdrawals from those can cause seziures and stuff, he sounds like he really needs to get some help, idk if any of this helps? its all i could pull outta my brain for the moment
That does help. Thank you. I was with him at Thanksgiving dinner last night and he was drinking a ton. He couldn't drink enough. The strange thing was that he would be slurring really badly and then just snap out of it all of the sudden. He completely ruined Thanksgiving for all of us It was really strange but I also don't have a clear understanding of the whole thing. I know family is checking into an intervention and treatment.
