hello all.....

hello all.....hope you are having a better time of life than i am at this point......i am trying to detox, for the 3rd time, and feeling like i am not making much progress.....50 yrs old, mom of three, chronic pain and i guess relatively heavy use of Vicodin, on and off (mostly on) for the last 8 years or so....i've been rehab twice...

listening to Steve Earle now, are there any SE out there in rehab land???  i've loved him for years, he's been to hell and back, too, herion (is that mispelled???) addict, did time, now he's clean and he and his 7th (or 8th?) wife live in NYC, he seems like he has it together....but, would i love to talk to him about life, he has 2 years on me, i feel like we kind of "grew up" together, he lived a lot of years in Texas, right down the road from where I grew up.......

anyway, if you do like him, his new CD is out, "Washington Square Serenade," first new CD in 3 yrs, i like a lot of the songs pretty well....he and i do not share political views at all, but man can that boy sing.....

take care all......

hello friend, steve earle used drugs for years, i know, he was addicted to herion (i think i always spell that wrong...) and did time for possession....i try to think about folks like him who went through such hell and made it out the other side....i am just tired of doing this over and over...i don't want to do this again ever.....

it's nice to "find" someone else who likes SE's music! i think he's incredible...i don't agree with most of his political views, but i think he's one of the most talented singers and song writers in the country today, and for the last 30 years!

thanks again....

Love country music, a lot of them I can relate to especially drinkin and druggin and wild life.

Blake Shelton " I drink"

Keith Urban " Nobody drinks alone"

Rodney Atkins " If your gonna through hell"

Just a few others I like.

"Pain is the touch stone of all growth" , AA's Bill W. said that maybe start focusing on that thought Joanna and welcome to the board.

thank you, my friends, all of you.....steve earle said something to the effect of, "i know i have a thousand uses left in me, but just one last recovery." i think that is where i am at right now, trying to make this one my last, because i just can't go through this again.....

you all are very kind...
