for all the newcomers we have showing up to our meetings, many are really struglling with this thing and having a hard time hanging on to even a day or two.
So lets get some community prayer going for these folks so they can join the living.
Tonight I first give thanks to my higher power for this board and it's members and all involved behind the scenes, all those who come together in order to give life to the dying addicts out there who seek help from those of us threw your grace have been given new life.
For many this is a long journey and we understand not everyone will get this but we ask humbly Father that your grace be spread out amongs many who suffer. I ask this thing because I want others to have what I have give them a taste of the good that comes from recovery let them feel what we feel, freedom.

To you newcomers please, don't stop trying don't ever give up completely your day will come if you hang on long enough, we Love you all here and Keep Coming Back.
I have a special prayer request for a friend of all of ours who needs at least our prayers and thoughts I ask that he return soon Great spirit with a new step in his boots .
May your friend fulfil his destiny as his Higher Power wills for him, BigV...

God Bless that addict wherever he maybe Grant that he may not die or go permenently insane without having a chance in recovery ! grant that we may share with him freely, as was so freely shared with us ! We hope that he will conciously seek to do Thy Will, which for a suffering addict can be nothing other than recovery, When that suffering addict gets here, we seek you ,and pray that you may use us as a channel of Thy Power,Thy Love and Thy way of Life,,
which we so loving and greatfully call the NA WAY !!! And that in doing so we repay a bit of Your Abundant Grace , In the Firm Belief that Your will for us is to ever carry the Message of recovery , without ego,self doubt and expectation, May we do Thy will always !!! How Great Thou Art, Thou Giver of Perfect Gifts and Thou the Perfect Emotion !!! Take our will and our life, guide us in our recovery show us how to live and enjoy life without the use of drugs,, just for today !!!

My prayer at times is simple " Thankyou Father for what i have and thankyou for what i don't have".
I don't have the obsession to use anymore .
I have a good life today because that obsession that I had is gone.
I have a relationship today with something more powerful then myself something I never had before coming to NA.
I don't have to worry about going to prison jail or treatment center I dont have to worry about where i will lay down tonight or where my next meal will come from.
I dont feel afraid much anymore.
Theres so many thing I have and so many thing i'm glad i DONT have :)
One of our predecessors in NA has said "All of our life is a prayer," or something along those lines...
Another share that I read in a book by a NA member called "A Matter Of Principle" made a strong impact on my perspective on prayer.
He had learned that the prayers he spoke aloud, even the prayers he said on his knees were in reality meaningless. Only the prayer that he walked in his life had any true meaning. He challenged everyone at a meeting by exclaiming, "Watch what I do - that reflects who I am. Don't just listen to what I say, that only reflects who I want to be."
After reading this, whenever I wake up in the morning, join my hands and say the serenity prayer and the third step prayer, I realized that I have to act differently after I have prayed to my Higher Power to give me the strength to act differently.
When I pray "Take my will and my life" to my Higher Power, it actually means that I cannot act out on my will or run my life by myself for the day as I've already prayed so, that there is a commitment involved there, to which I commit when I decide to pray, my Higher Power did not ask for it
I've never felt the power of prayer so intensely after this realization lately. This simple ritualistic act at the start of everyday, in actual reality became a turning point by the bearing it has on my actions and behavior through out the day. The way I think, feel and act through out the day either becomes the prayer itself or the meaninglessness of such prayers in the mornings as I choose to be. The choice is mine, but if I choose to live by the prayer, the rewards and the bliss resulting thereof is priceless, and if I don't, then I actually make a mock of the very act of prayer...

I was thinking the same thing today when nearly getting into a spat today with my girl, I stopped and prayed instead of acting and ASKED what do I do Lord what do I say and how do I act. Then I sat quietly listening and it came to me without any stress or feeling of being under pressure the words flowed out and the results were wonderful, I showed her love and it changed the direction it was going completely .
This is part in part of what I need from this program , I need to be taught.
Wow, that's a beautiful experience that you shared above BigV. That is what our Eleventh Step is all about...
Asking for knowledge of God's will for us and the Power to carry that out...
There's a lot of insights and perspectives that can be gained by reading Step Eleven from both Basic Text and It Works How And Why.
Otherwise, many a times I have actually defied my Eleventh Step by praying for all sorts of things, as if I'm giving a job description to my Higher Power, do this, do that and blah blah blah... as if I'm the Higher Power here and my Higher Power is just my servant... lol...
That's why our literature cautions... Beware of what you pray

Ive come to believe that the change comes only after accepting the Power of Meditation,,,, Praying is voicing my concerns to my Higher Power,,, Meditation is being Silent to listen to the answer !!! The most important thing in my life this day is when things are getting unmanageable,,,many times Im able to stop and ask God "'Why?" "Why am i being crazy?" "Why am i being lazy?" "Why am i being hasty?" "Why am i getting nasty?" then on a good day,,, when my mind is willing to get Silent,,, I get the answer,,, Thats why the pamphlet Living the Program asks "Did I pray or Meditate today,,,, how did it affect my life ?" And by God,,, ive seen my life change for the better,,and more of it !!

yea Vini,,, i had a bad scene happening with rage today,,, by the Grace of God and thanks to associating with yu all,, i was able to walk away and pray out of that mess !!! Crazy how I allow people to engage me in conversation when im driving inspite of knowing the harm in doing that !!! I pray that I may remember to tell em thats talkative next time( in a gentle,caring way !!!!) "look here,,, this traffics heavy,please lets be quiet and look at the road !!" So help me God !!!!

It is certainly refreshing to come here after being away for a few months and seeing all the positive uplifting motivational praying going on. Yahoo! I would love to join in if I may?
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father as I reach out to you we ask in your Son's precious name for you to watch over, anoint those men and women you need to preach your word, break the bonds of addiciton over these men and women that are suffering, and bring wholeness to the families and children.
Lord you know me you know what my struggles were and for how long they were. THe addicitons that I had, the drugs I did and experimented with and was addicited to and went through withdrawals over. Lord you are Sovereign and you are THe Great Physician Praise you for sparing the lives of those me included for better things ahead, so that we can be of service to you. Thanks for allowing me to Minister to inmates in Jail and Prison what a joy. SInce I too was in CYA as a youth and I remebber how aweful it was, lonely, scary, dark.
Father I give you Praise and GLory and Honor for Releasing me from My Torment in My body, my mind, and for giving me a Beautiful life, food, clothing, a husband, family, friends, dogs, and a Church home. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Your Word God is full of Power, wisdom, and knowledge for all who read it. Praise you. Abba Daddy, Be with each member here today protect them from the enemy, protect there families. Let your LOVE pour over each one tonight letting them feel your presence.
