I've observed that there's a lot of shares on the steps and personal recovery as such, but there is little awareness among us about the 12 Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous. What they are? How do they apply to us? How do we apply these traditions in any group (be it NA, workplace, family at home, our group of friends, or even in the fellowship of two in a relationship)...
I was wondering we can start posting each tradition in their order on a separate thread, taking one tradition at a time for a particular period (say a fortnight), and then share our experiences, strength and hope on that tradition for the benefit of all.
After, without Traditions, NA does not exist as one of our group readings says. These are the principles that bind us together and allows a Higher Power's will to prevail in our dealing with each other as a NA Group... So what do you feel, family? Shall we start a study here on Traditions?

Wonderful Concepts are also a great topic, lots of useful stuff that can be used from those too in our dealings with others in a group...
I've found the green and gold book It Works How and Why as a great resource of the Traditions but there's no online version available of this book to extract a part of it for our study every fortnight. Does anyone know of this book being available online?
Another option is just typing it from the book for everyone of us to get a basic understanding and then we can share our own experiences working with these traditions in NA service, at home with loved ones, at work with colleagues etc... I think I can type it if I have to...
Another option is to take the text of a particular tradition from the book NA Way Of Life which is available online. Makes the job easier that way.
Any other suggestions welcome. Dear members of the MIP Family, please contribute your ideas... Thanks for the support and the enthusiasm, Blithe

This is so weird Tahir because I was pouring over the basic text and the how and why this morning looking for some answers in tradition 1 concerning group unity, because of a situation in my own home group that we're not sure how to deal with. I would love a tradition study.

I think it a great idea. I have been told the steps teaches me how to live with me and the traditions teaches me how to live with others. I suggest we do a tradition a week and sticky it in this forum. I alway forget about going to the steps forum.
Keli, it's always a great feeling to get involved in NA service and to work towards a solution to any situation that we might have to face as a group. I always dive deeper into our literature at such situations and also seeking guidance from my Sponsor helped when I faced a similar situation in context of Tradition One.
Thank you all for the enthusiasm. Let's get started tomorrow as soon as I'm done with the groundwork. Keep the suggestions coming
And yes, one of my NA friends sent me the link to the book It Works How and Why. So, that has been taken care of too

EGNA is Earth Group of NA, another online group like Miracles In Progress where I've been a part of from my day one clean I also met my current sponsor there about two years back...

Any of our trusted servants who has volunteered as moderators has the option of "stickying" a particular topic if requested by the group members so that it remains as one of the first topics at the top of the topic list for easy access to and attention of all members...

Hi family, I've posted the entire chapter on Tradition One from "It Works How And Why" and also sticky'd the thread. Check it out.
Please share your understanding, experience, strength and hope on working Tradition One with us on this thread. Let's take each Tradition for a fortnight as we had discussed earlier, see how it goes...
Thank you all for the enthusiasm shown and for contributing ideas and resources towards this yet another miracle at Miracles In Progress
