oct 27, 2008...95 days clean miracles miracles baby! feel so much better physically, altough financially still rough times, like the rest of the country....still not able to practice, but am in recovering nurse programs, outpatient therapy, active w/NA, have a great sponsor, home group, support group...it works if i work it so i'll work it i'm worth it and live!

Good on you Lori Dee

I was 10 years clean yesterday, i am excited and grateful. I went to a local meeting and lots of my inner city friends turned up, which was a fair distance. Someone gave me a NA medallion in arabic, which was so sweet, i have no idea what it says. It was a great day, lots of presents and msgs fantastic!

You know I would have 13 1/2 months clean today but I had reservations about drinking so I decided to drink so now I have to start over because of a few drinks that could eventually ruined my life because im a straight compulsive addict my clean date now is MARCH. 14, 2009

hello my name is mikef i am new to this site.i surrendered in dec 2nd 1984(my fathers birthday).i recently went back to NA(14 MONTHS NOW)and active member of'NEW DAZE" AND men do recover' group.also have been attending NARANON as i have a 23 year old son recovering from heroin addiction after 4 years on the streets.i grabeed a sponsor and am working my steps now.wish i did it back in 84 but wasnt my time.now it is.i'll check in hear and share when i can thanks,confuse

smile By the grace of God.

With the help of the new friends I've made in the rooms, my sponsor, the steps, and my new renewed relationship with God. It has taken a village to raise me this last year.
I have found myself being able to start to give back to the newcomer now too!
Something that I never thought I would do. I was so confused and ANGRY for so long.
Children Services lead me to treatment, treatment lead me to the rooms, and the rooms lead me to God. For that I am GREATFUL!

Glora, that sounds great to me too. My clean date is 4-02-2008. Where did you get your NA rocks symbol? I like it.
I am also looking for a sponsor, so I can get started with the steps. Do you suggest that I look for one in person or online. I have tried a few in person in my town, but they just weren't what I need. I need someone that can call me when I don't call them and checkin with me on a daily basis. I know that is my job. I am the type that says everything is ok and I won't call. Any suggestions.

 Hi I just joined my clean date is 2nd wk in june of what ever day My home group lands on all I remember is I stood up at NA convention either 8 or 10 Days clean
In 1994 June Fathers Day weekend. See the thing is I'm not all that sure so I say June 8 now before I used to say June 10 But it was 1994
 I don't know to many like me and am Impressed with those who have an exact mile stone Date I relasped so much and and so many dates. They lost they're meaning to me. Glad to be clean and 8 has meaning to me and it will still always be the second wk in June So what do you guys think shall I just stick to it and STOP thinking I have to explain it every time.

Yep I can relate Dd I think my Bday is on July 5th I will have 3 years but not absolutely sure I know its around that day , I relapsed after having 5 years and that date was so important but not important enough to keep and I relapsed many many times before putting years together.
