my sponsor gave me an assignment to ask people about their relationship with their sponsor. anything you feel like sharing and about anything concerning you and your sponsors relationship. whether he/she is strict, or motherly, or close like a friend. or how they might make you work the steps, or why you chose your sponsor to begin with. anything really. thanks.
Hi there:) Well..My sponsor and I are pretty close..We are friends also..But we do have boundries..She calls me on my shit. I don't think a sponsor should "make you work the steps" It works if YOU work it...A good IP was written on sponsorship..Hope that helps:)

Hey, My sponsor is a nice guy who really had it rough. He takes his time with me, no rush, and lets things come out of me rather than push them out. He helps me work the begining of each step by asking me to share it with people that have passed in that direction and that helps a great deal. I chose my sponsor because we have similar backgrounds and lifestyles and the age is close. I thought that to be important. he's more brotherly than fatherly and he's available most all the time.
