Anyone here young and staying clean? I'm nineteen and I've been clean for fourteen months, and I've found that unfortunately so many of the young people I've seen come into the rooms I've also seen go out. Then, there are a few who get really involved in the program, getting sponsors, working the steps, making meetings regularly and getting involved in service and they end up staying clean. Anyone else around here young and in recovery or get clean at a young age?
Welcome to Miracles In Progress allimarie. Congrats on the big 14 miracles. Way to go. Keep coming back, we need you.

Welcome to MIP, my son will be celebrating his first year in may he is 17. I am in the Toronto area we have people from 14 to 70 in our rooms. There are about 30 that I know of that got clean under the age of 20 and are still around to talk about it. Right now we have 5 under the age of 18 that are staying clean in my area, most of them are just around the one year mark , but they are working a program and doing well. I respect the young ones in the rooms for not waisting 30 years of there life to figure out that maybe they have a problem. My hats off to you congrats on 14 months!
hey check out the new "Youth and Recovery" IP Drafts at the NAWS Website to be approved soon to replace the existing Youth IP. Great stuff. As shared by the youth of NA. Sandra, get a download of it for your son. I'm sure he'd love it. You can also ask for a hard copy in print at the website where the WSO would snail mail it to you. I received a copy too, gonna make some copies and gift them to the young NA members in the fellowship here...
