Just wanted to share my excitment, I have met the man of my dreams! His name is Mc Dreamy and hes a 1 year old gray tabby that stold my heart.
I went to the Humane Sociaty on Sat. thinking it's time i had a compainion, so I thought Im just going to walk around till one picks me. That was exactly how it happened I was drawen to him for some reason, all the cats were going nuts paws were flying out of the cages and the room was defening with all the meowing.
...and there he was just staring at me with those dreamy eyes, looking so cuddaly and sweet. I knew he was the one right away. My defects got in the way when they told me to fill out an application and the would call me , I wanted to take him home with me that second. I found out thats not how it works, so now i have jumped through all the hoops they asked me to (even a 1/2 hour interview today dam!) and i got word tonight that he can come home with me tomorow YEAH!!! it has been so hard leaving there every day without him, but I guess they have rules to fallow. I was getting frustrated couldent understand why he should have to spend one more day in a cage when I was ready to give him a loving home. Thank god that parts over and I kept my cool.
So this beautiful boy is not even here yet and my house is full of kitty stuff , yes hes spoiled already lol. My son said mom it's one thing to be a crazy cat lady but its another when you dont even have a cat.
Just wanted to share my joy with you all, thanks for being here.
Right on Sandra I have 5 , 4 I adoped but straight off the street and out of alleys and there all really good cats enjoy the fun in having a cat around and they do make good company
That's cool. Animals are man's best friends. Especially cats...if you know anything about energy work. They send out such an energy, especially an energy called Reiki. They fill our spirits with love and understanding. Which inturn help us on different levels of our lives. I miss my cats. I had one that would sleep in the middle of my stomach and would not leave me when I was down or upset. It was strange that when she did finally get up I would feel so much better. Please take care of them and just let them love you.
Wow, congrats on finding the man of your life, Sandra Look forward to see his pic soon on the fun thread here...
I have been thinkin' to adopt one for sometime now, but my wife is not too enthusiastic of the idea as she doesn't want a division of my love and care
However, I do have two stray dogs that live at my doorsteps near the housegate. At first, they both threatened our existence when we moved here new. I really had to bribe them with some good food, to manipulate them into submission... now they are our playmates too...

Thanks all , I am so happy with my new kitty. I brought him home today, they had suggested that I keep him in one room for 10 days to let him adjust to his new home. I thought ok they must know whats best so I put all his things in the spare room and brought him home, he lasted about 1 hour in there he wanted no part of being locked up again. so hes been fallowing me around all day.
He loves to cuddle and play its so special, just what I needed another member of our family to love and cherish. He is so loving and sweet, a little bit of a trouble maker aswell he just wants to get into everything. I named him patiance so when I get upset with him for eating my plants like he already seems to enjoy I can remember to have some patiance with him lol.
Wow,that's a cool way to consciously be aware of our impatience and practice patience instead
Guys, treat your cats with love and respect, who knows, one day, they might become our teacher and teach us a spiritual principle or two, like "Patience" is, to Sandra
