Basic txt. pg.90-When we refuse to practice acceptance, we are in effect, still denying our faith in a higher power.
Basic txt. pg.92-ANY clean addict is a miracle. We keep this miracle alive in ongoing recovery with positive attitudes.
Basic txt. pg.94-We become feeling people, capable of responding appropriately to life. We put spiritual living first and learn to use patience, tolerance and humility in our daily affairs.

And yes, I guess being an oldtimer doesn't help any either. The more we stay clean in NA, the more we need to learn.

Saving ourselves FROM ourselves cory I read that the otherday and went "WHOA" how f'n true is that statement, we can be our own worst enemy or we can be our own saving grace , it's a choice and you got to be on the front page in making that decision and i know how freaken hard it is to get there to that decision.
Thats why i say this is a gift more then anything that I have done, its alot of what i've been thru that got me here to this point of surrender and I feel bad at times about throwing that gift back at my HP and saying " No thankyou very much, i can handle this on my own".
