Gratitude speaking

Hi friends, I finally got into this message board and just wanted to express how grateful I am to all of you in the Narcotics Anonymous program for helping me to remain clean.  I am just over 3 months clean and have a temporary sponsor.  Going to meetings and listening to people share helps to keep me strong.  Life can be rough sometimes, but I know that using certainly wouldn't make anything better.  I have the choice and I choose to stay clean and that involves staying away from anyone who uses any mind altering substances.  My thoughts are on my new associations, people who are NOT using and who have found a new way of life.  I attend meetings almost every single day, sometimes twice a day.  It is such a wonderful feeling to be with others that all understand and have the same desire, to live life without drugs.  Thank you for being here and for continuing to come back.  God bless all of you! TLK

I can relate to your gratitude, I am grateful for my short clean time this time around. The wreckage of my past is hiting me in my face and it is causes all tpyes of feelings but using will not make things better. At the moment I am on a ship which is a protector but in 4 weeks I will be going home.

You and I both are miracles and have so much to be thankful for. right now we got each other and other recovering addicts and that is a blessing. Stay strong and stay with the winners and keep your hand on connected to your Higher Power hand.
