Hi Peggy and Coryann, I have been laid out all day. Lots of pain, but as long as I dont move too much I'm ok. I freaked out around 6pm and called my friend and asked him to bring me pills, but called him back 5 minutes later and said don't. I don't have the energy to chat tonight, being vertical is tough. BUT I'M STILL CLEAN!!! It's been a head trip day though, almost convinced myself I don't have a problem. Thought I should go to a meeting after I made the desperate phone call, but I'm in too much pain and didn't think driving would be a great idea, and it's snowing, and my gas light is on and I have
negative $s so, hey, easy does it right, and back to the couch I go. I love you guys, all the people from the chat room, and you peggy. I hope other struggling addicts are lucky enough to have their higher power lead them in the right direction, to love and inspiration.
THANK YOU,
gratefully in recovery
jen

Jenny, thanks for sharing with us. Glad to hear that you said no when the urge showed up. Gives me lots of strength and hope regarding another manifestation of my addiction in my recovery today. The more we choose to say "no" to our obsession, the weaker the hold of obsession over us becomes. Hope, pray and wish you a speedy recovery back to health and wellbeing. Please take care and love yourself back to health. Hugs and Love.

HI Jenny,

i'm so glad you got back to us.

I hope you have someone that can keep an eye on you as you detox...

if i remember right the third and four day were the worst for me..but that was anti-depressants so i don't know how pain pills work , i just know i felt like hell . we i was going threw my detoxing i found a website about withdrawal symtomes , because i couldn't believe that the way i was feeling was normal for just stopping anti depressants . got a lot of support and information from that site. you might want to check it out . knowlage is power . and i want you to get through this as easily as possible.

love you and i'm there for you ... HUGE HUGS peggy

Hey, I have 4 days clean, no pills, pot, booze, coke, or anything, longest clean time since about 6 months after my now 2 1/2 year old was born. Well, it's a start. I still feel pretty crappy and achy but I can laugh and then I feel better. How come you hear someone from NA tell you you never have to use again and for the strangest reason it makes sense?!

I had the worst sleep of my life last night, sweat to death, insomnia for the most part and when I was asleep I was using, but today I have a little more energy. I think I got rid of alot of toxic crap. I think I might even hit a meeting today, my 1st one truly clean! Thank god we only have to make it through one day at a time.
Gratefully in recovery,
Blessing and love,
Jen

AWESOME, JENNY. YOU ARE A MIRACLE! CONGRATS ON THE BIG 4 "24-HOUR" MIRACLES! KEEP THE MIRACLE ALIVE. MAKE A MEETING, AND IF POSSIBLE, SHARE YOUR MIRACLE WITH EVERYONE.

SINCE YOU ARE PAST THE FIRST 4 DAYS NOW, YOUR BODY HAS GONE THRU THE DETOX. IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER FROM NOWON. IN FACT, IN A DAY OR TWO, YOU WOULD BE FIT AGAIN. SO AMAZING TO FEEL THAT WAY, TO BE FREE FROM THE PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT AND THE URGES ARISING AS A RESULT...

AND YES, IF IT HELPS YOU TO HEAR THIS, THEN ALLOW ME...

YOU NEVER HAVE TO USE AGAIN JUST FOR TODAY!

HUGS, LOVE, LIGHT ~ TAHIR.

hi jenny,

good to see you on here and hearing you're starting to feel better

i heard you'd popped into chat , am sorry i missed you.

whenever we quit something , even cigarettes or coffee, we all tend to get snappy and easily erratated. this too shall pass....lol....just keep hangin it there , and you can give your kids huge hugs to make up for it later....if they were old enough to  understood what you are doing for them and what you are going through , they wouldn't mind a bit of rough sailing to see you get to the other side

know that all this is worth it in the long run...i'm routing for you ....you're doing great!!!!!!

hope to hear or run into you soon ....HUGE HUGS to get you over the tough times .....peggy
