Im greatful to have been at home last evening and attend on my 17 year old dog !!!
He was sick past few days and docs said he was sinking !!!
then i bagan to see him go from bad to worse....
Mind you this is the first pup i bought in my recovery and he has been a great watchdog,,a husband to my other pom as well as a real pet at home !!!
Ive related my growth to him any times,,,how when he was a pup i was still an angry young man,,
then I got married and settled down and had a kid of my own but my pet was still important to me !!
He was really close to my ma who fed him and cared for him otherwise !!!!
After him i bought another om and then got em married and he sired about 20 pups ,,,
then years later she died !!!
He got lonely but grew in age and all the while he was like an alter ego,,, cause i could judge my temper by relating to memories i had of him as a pup and how once i trashed him when he got wild !!
All in all he was a good dog to have around and he was real sick last nite so i put him in the C.U.P.A dog care hospital,,he died this morning of kidney failure ,,, a real long time for a dog to live !!!
And with him goes a long standing PRESENCE in my recovery !
I wanted to share my loss with you all,,, especially those of us that get attached to pets and beging to talk to em and vibe with them and then theyre gone leaving us feeling lonely and sad with only memories !!!

Raman you really touch my heart with your sharing I have a cat who's been with me thru alot of years and feel the same way with her she is sick now too, sorry for your loss of such a good friend you had many years together and that is what counts we're all here for such a short while, its what we make of that time .
I think your boy had a darn good life with you, think happy thoughts my friend I know you miss him a great deal.
i share in your grief of losing a close friend and family member, i've also felt that pain , and the memories of happier times. calling them pets doesn't do them justice. for they were as much a family member as anyone.
it's amazing how they can give us unconditional love no matter how we look or feel or act.
i miss them , but still have a warm feeling in my heart because of them...
My animals aren't pets to me there my children, i'd feel the same pain losing one of my animal children as I would my own human child but I don't have any human children LOL so I settle for the animals, neither would listen to me anyhow so theres no difference there :)
I'm so sorry that you lost him Raman. Dogs are great beings to be with. I have 5 right now that live in front of my house here. In the beginning, they used to gang up on me and bark and threaten my existence here when I had newly moved here. I had to really seduce them with big chunks of meat and bones for a couple of days for them to surrender. Now they are my best friends and playmates. I spend every evening with them, feeding them and petting them. They get excited when they see me or my wife now. Amazing to study their gestures and reactions. Can see so much into why and how we human beings behave in a particular way with each other thru them. At least they are bare, as they are, clearly expressing their instincts with us, unlike we who mask it all and try to pretend in the name of being civilized. When I see Dogs be what they are, hiding nothing back, those attributes look wonderful natural traits. When we do the same, we turn these natural traits into destructive defects of character...

My 5 cats smother me when I walk in the door each day, they great me in the morning and rest ontop of me every chance they get, they make great companions .
Lately I have had vet bills on several of them and it's as expensive as if I were to see a doctor but you know, thankfully I have the money to take care of them as properly as I can so I can't complain matter of fact I don't for once LOL
They need love too, we want to make there lives as good as possible there are many out there that just dont get treated right or never get a chance to live a long life.
