my son is a member of na and struggling. from the alanon site i stumbled apon this wonderful and supportive site. i've sent the site to my son and he's looked at it, or so he says. would anyone be willing to send him an email to join the forum. i think it would be really healing and helpful. thanks, artemis

He is more then welcome here we'd love to have him join .

Theres no time to be shyor procrastinate about this if he's having trouble he needs to ask and get help thats what we're all here for , one addict helping another, he can email me anytime I check that address once a day at least.

i think artemis is wanting to get someone to send a personal invitation to her/his son.

Artemis, as BigV rightly said, the desire to reach out and connect must come from within each one of us, but nevertheless, please provide us with your son's email id. We will invite him to join MIP Group rightaway. Maybe, our Higher Power wants to use us to help him reach out and connect

hi artemis, how are things going for you and your son. ?


i was just wondering if you'r son got that invitation?


our chat room has been taking off lately . so there is usually someone there most times . you might suggest he drops in and visits. and we have four online meetings per week now too.

he did get an invite and at this point hasn't logged in. he has searched the site. he's going to go into a rehab program but he's stubborn and wants one with methadone. any comments?

and as regarding methodone or not,,, my first impulse is to quote our 10 Tradition=


"NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS HAS NO OPINIONS ON OUTSIDE ISSUES,HENCE THE NA NAME OUGHT NEVER BE INVOLVED IN PUBLIC CONTROVERSY!!!"


Speaking from a personal level,I went to a rehab that had no methadone,,, and thank God Im still recovering.


methodone was a choice at that time but i passed.


i think most addicts are afraid of first the painful withdrawls and the fear of living life without the use of drugs.


i hope Jay and his mom will read this and other posts and come to believe !!!

hi all, just wanted to update about jay. jay is in rehab the last 60 days and he's going to a sober higher education facility. he's also off all narcotic replacement.jay is also involved with n/a and he has a sponser.
