I've checked out this board several times, but haven't had a chance to get involved. Recovery has saved my life, like it has done for many others. I have substantial clean time, (Oct, 93), however, what is more important is my accomplishments and piece of mind. I would like to get active in this board. I was going to be at the GC, however, I had to return home to Illinois to bury my stepfather.
I would like to help out with the site and help out with anyone that needs anything or would like to make a new friend. I have recently moved to texas and I drive 90 miles to a meeting at least once a week. I cannot start a meeting here, as I am a public figure and anonymity is very important to me. God has truly blessed me in the last 13 years. However addiction is more than drugs and I must continue to work the steps and my program in my daily affairs.
Please feel free to contact me by message or in this post. I look forward to sharing my recovery on MIP.
Just for today,
Mark

Welcome to MIP, we can always use new people here, there are members who work tirelessly here to help others , they are wonderful. you've picked a good site to join. and i'm sure you have many thoughts and knowlage to share...i won't be around for the next week or so, but i'm sure my friends here will make you feel welcome....ttyl. peggy
Thanks for all the replies. I just returned to home this week and have literally worked from the time I got here, ate and slept and worked until now. Whew. Time for a meeting.
The funeral was difficult. I cried for the first time in a couple of years. It felt good. It actually feels good to be a human being with feelings today. Instead of running from them, I can actually let them run their course. I do the best I can and I don't try to fix the world. Recovery has given me so many tools people. The scary thing is I learn more everyday.
I'm looking forward to the online meeting. Can someone give me some info about that? for some reason I thought we could get messages on here. But you can send me an email at muscman04@aol.com.
Love you all.
Mark

Greetings Mark, welcome to MIP. Glad we have you here with us. We have three online meetings here in a week as Peggy had posted earlier, and we need all the support we can get to make these meetings an awesome experience for each one of us...
Hugs, Love and Light from Tahir, a recovering addict from India.
