hi, my name is sarah and i am an addict. i have four clean months now. i live in a very small country town. i am having alot of trouble finding a sponser with clean time who understands sponsership. i have been told by women in my group that it is optional and most of the women haven't had sponsers. i know that i need someone to help me through the steps and am in search of someone.

i'm new in recovery too, i've got 5 months. and i too am living in a small town (oil patch country), where the men out number the women 10 to 1.
so i'm having a hard time finding someone i can relate to also.
but the guys here can help you out . i'm taking a back seat lately, not doing much of anything. but when i'm ready to get back into it, i know these guys will be here to guild me down the path....or by then maybe you can help me ...

As long as I was without a Sponsor, I felt like an orphan in NA, trying to do it alone. One suggestion of our program is that we don't try to work the program (the 12 Steps) by ourselves...
