my girlfreind had to let one of hers go because she refusedto take any sugestions,and refused to make 90 in 90.hell she just relapsed.i guess some folks refuse to surender.well they wont run out of dope out there.
i also had to let go of one of mine.when someone falls in love , without a program.i have had to help bury at least six guys that i sponsored due to them getting all screwed in the head over a relationship to early in there recovery.and this guy hasnt even started the steps yet!it wasnt but about a week ago he was all disapointed because the last one screwed him out of a shitload of money.i just know that i cant dopefeind my way thru the steps,and untill surender hapens,our ass can warm the seat,but with no spiritual tools,when the shit hits the fan,wich it will,i garuntee,there is nothing to keep us here.we arent unique.......
i just wish we could all come in here surendered.

Your a sponsor so your going to see all of the direct results of addiction.
My dad who has 25 years sober sponsored one guy in all those years , it was his first and last.
What happened was he got a call from the police one night late, they told him they found a guy dead and his number was in his wallet and they were wondering who he was to this person.
Turned out the guy had been murdered by one of his family, they had carved baby raper on his chest and set him on fire and stabbed him to death guess he had molested one of his nieces or something.
Needless to say my dad never sponsored anyone again, he carrys the message just not as a sponsor.
90 meetings in 90 days doesn't gaurantee a person sobriety but it does show a willingness not that someone can't stay sober not following that policy or suggestion but it definetly shows a willingness. What you have to remember too is that alot of us are social defects, some of us can't stand crowds, some of us are very shy people filled with fear. When you fire someone for not doing what you TELL THEM make sure you know WHY there not doing what you suggest of them and expect of them........
well like i say,this has been a repeating thing.everyone knows the expectations i have of them,because it isnt just my expectations,but the family tree of sponsorships.and we have been here as long as na has.
but on the other hand everyone else i sponsor is doing awesome.even when they have problems,they work thru tho the other side.
i know we all come in here dragging all we have.i can only sponsor so many folks,and i can only sponsor the surendered ones.and it took me a while to surender.
but there arent enough addicts in our area.all i can do is what i can.
