Greetings

Hi. I'm an addict and my name is Tahir. I'm from India, over 2 years in recovery now. Most of these 2 years, I have benefited a lot from online NA meetings, forums and mails and have added online NA as an equally important tool of my recovery as my local fellowship and f2f meetings. I have come to realize that whether face-to-face or cyberspace, IT WORKS as long as I have an honest desire to stay clean and reach out to people for help.

One of the members in my area suggested me this group yesterday, and I'm grateful that I found you all and that I'm a part of Miracles In Progress. I need you all in my recovery.

Hugs, Love, Light ~ Tahir.

Hi Tahir; welcome to Narcotics Anonymous. Raman is from India and a member here.
Good Luck. Bob.

Peace, brother (or sister).  One of the miracles is being able to speak with people half a world away, with vastly different experiences and cultures.  But drugs are drugs, alluring, mystical, deadly.  Just went through a horrific day of morphine withdrawal because of something a doctor prescribed unwittingly, and taken as such:  Atavan, tiny morphine tabs that take you into that mythical world, which then becomes a nightmare.

Higher power help us all, and prayers to anyone still trying to beat the many evil blossoms of the poppy.

Love,

Chris

Thank you BigV, Bob and Chris for the warm and loving welcome.

Yes Bob, It was Raman who suggested me about joining this group and I'm glad that he did that. We both are from the same Homegroup here in Bangalore. Just 2 days back, we had an awesome evening together with other members at our homegroup's service meeting, followed by a recovery meeting and fun at cafe. We were also sharing a lot of wonderful stuff on recovery and program with each other which was so very rewarding and insightful for me.

Chris, I'm a HE and wish you all the best and speedy recovery. I can relate as I had to take some medication many times when I was clean and in early recovery this time too for a co-occuring disorder. I used to constantly read the booklet "In Times Of Illness" and "More Will Be Revealed" from Basic Text then, and also share a lot with a few loving members and my counselor, discussed at length with my doctor (who fortunately was well-informed about addiction and had a working experience with addicts for more than a decade) before any medication was given or changed and thus involved them all along, including even my family members, and above all inviting my loving HP to guide me and take care of me. All this helped me immensely to arrive at informed and honest decisions.

Hugs, Love, Light ~ Tahir.
