I WAS THINKING ABOUT HOW HARD IT IS FOR ME TO GET TO A MEETING,BECAUSE OF MY OWN RESISTANCE AND COMPLACENCY.I THEN THOUGHT ABOUT PEOPLE I'VE SEEN THAT HAVE BEEN SPEAKERS OR RUN MEETINGS,OR TAKE ON EVEN MORE RESPONSIBILITY IN THE OVERALL STRUCTURE AND "GOVERNMENT" OF NA OR AA.THEY DEVOTE SO MUCH OF THEMSELVES TO RECOVERY.IT IS LIKE THEY ARE ANGELS,BECAUSE THEY MAKE SO MUCH AVAILABLE TO OTHERS BECAUSE OF THIER DEVOTION AND SOBRIETY.I DONT KNOW HOW THEY DO IT.
As time goes by confidence builds and we get over the little things that held us back from socializing and being with others
This last year I was doing alot of thinking about H&I work I knew what i needed to do but got lazy and I payed the price I needed .to give it away and did'.nt I wont make the same mistake again.....................
ps........two of those speakers have been my sponsors.one died in 99.the other still is.they have taught me the history of na,because they were both instamental in building it and not having to live in denial in other places that werent designed for addicts. glad this place is here for addics like me.
