just hoping to get some experience, strength and hope about sponsorship. I am coming up on 3 yrs. next month. I got a new sponsor about 3 mos. ago and we have'nt had any face to face time yet. We were supposed 2 hook up this weekend and have a heart 2 heart but I called and did'nt get any response. I am not doing any step work right now and I really need 2 be. My sponsor has 2 work a lot and i do to. I only get a chance 2 make about 2 meetings aweek. I really need some help in looking at myself and what is going on with me.
There's a great book by Hamilton B. called "12 Step Sponsorship, How It Works" Lots of good imformation and what to look for in a sponsor. If you and your present Sponsor can't hook up he isn't doing you much good. The Sole purpose (or primary purpose) of a Sponsor is to tale a Sponsee through the Steps. Bob.
