Dry Wedding

I've got 5 months and some change clean time, and I'm getting married next summer.  We want to have a dry wedding, but there's some resistance from other family members.  We think we've got it settled, especially as the park where we'd like to host the reception BBQ doesn't allow alcohol.  Just wondering if anyone out there has experience with getting married in recovery and what you did about the alcohol issue.

Very good question. Congrats on the clean time and the wedding! Good things do happen when we get clean and find a new way to live. If it were me, I could care less if people drink. They did at my wedding, BUT it's your celebration NOT there's. Take a stand and stick to it. They can make it for a few hours without a drink can't they???
