I just joined this forum and was curious as to how many members on this are still active? I checked out the number of members and it seems like a lot haven't accessed this in YEARS. Who's still carrying the message??
. ...hi 'roses' ,,I've been here ~1year now.....if you go through the posts ,you'll likely see that there's ~12 to 15 folks who join in to support or discuss an issue when someone raises one. As a facilitator, I receive a notification whenever someone posts,,,have had the humble honor to help a few in need. Ironically,,the main function this forum provides for newcomers is to encourage them to get to a live meeting,,connect with real people close-by. Beyond that,,some regular members sometimes share what's going on in their lives,though it'd be welcome to have a bit more banter,so long as that doesn't replace live connections......speaking of which,it's time for my saturday group!

My name is Raman and I'm an addict.....clean and serene, just for today in NA !
Ifn I remember right, I may have first posted in 2003, so that'd be 12+ years.
I've been a bit inactive here this past year as Facebook has been inviting to my mind-set.
But, yes, I'll never ever forget MIP.
Members hare have been sharing and caring through some of the difficult times in my recovery.
Many have come, and many have gone, but the bright part is that many have come to stay.
And among them I count one as my guide in recovery.......thanks Mike.F.
And the others regulars that share here have also had messages for me.
All said and done, I'm greatful !

I am here today for a moment, very busy also and like raman i do facebook a lot too i have a gold mining board there i have to stay up with for political reasons and to help that community of people since we have been in some debates lately with state government and i hate politics .
And im blessed to be very busy running a business, painting even in the winter, out side UGH.
but i thought of this place and all of you today so HI vini was here :)

Yes. I said mostly serene. Lol. Life has for sure showed up. Ive been able to act accordingly though. Not saying ive been perfect n this area. The only thing ive done perfect in recobery is not use. I just try to find gratitude in things that ome up. Sometimes im happy to deal with shit life throws at me. Its could be worse. Always
I just found this community today. I'm still trying to get the hang of it and figure it out. Thx for posting. It helps give me an idea now of how big/small this community is.

.....I'm now 18months clear from the depths of my demon drug. I came to this board shortly after my clean date. Sharing recovery here on the NA message board has been a useful part of my recovery, alongside meetings, sponsor and steps.
