....hello,,I'm Michael,,I'm an addict,,,,relieved to have finally accepted narcotics anonymous as an important part of my life,and happy to be clean today.

....as I've been getting clear of the chaos of active drug addiction from my life,,,I realized a couple of weeks ago,that I was involved in a number of controversy situations in my life.Although these situations have since resolved themselves in a variety of ways,,and I believe I've handled them appropriately,I've realized that -creating chaos- is perhaps an underlaying form of addiction in my life.

.....when I think of the extreme chaos I grew up in,I realize that underneath my more recent attachment to drugs,lies a pattern of struggle,,chaos,,even survival,,,that's caused me to constantly seek these familiar feelings in my adult life

...I believe that I do manage to take an 'overview' in situations I'm involved with,,,which can be an asset,,but it's important for me to be mindful of how and whether I address situations,or just let-them-be!..........as I looked at this question,I'm grateful that the serenity prayer came forward,,,reminding me that there's some things I can change,,but some not,,,,and to always seek guidance from my higher  power before acting!

...just for today,,,I open myself to a new serene me!
