I have had the same sponsor for 2 years now. I have found lately that she is just not working for me. She has a lot of obligations in her life and I have difficulty getting in touch with her. I realize she has a life, but sometimes its days before she will return my call, if she does. I would like someone who is a Christian. I have been in recovery now alittle over a year and have had several relapses, I need someone who has a lot of clean time. Please help, I want to stay clean.
I am an addict named Mike. It is important for US to remember WE are responsible for our own recoveries.I can only suggest you continue to make different meetings and listen for a sponsor.I would also suggest speaking with your own sponsor and voicing your concerns. A sponsor is just another addict who has worked STEPS (more than you have)showing the fruits of application in all areas of their lives (to the best of their ability) and living in the Solution. WE also remember that clean time does not equal recovery so having a "lot" of clean time isn't necessarily a guideline for good sponsor ship ,it is the quality of the clean time rather than the quantity..I also live in Pompano Beach Florida and have found many meetings all around. You can search for meetings in your area. NA is a spiritual,not religious program but I can identify if you feel you want someone of the same faith beliefs but by no means necessary....As I was listening for my first sponsor a long ways back I was seeking someone who had or was married, had kids, was living a spiritual life,was making meetings and doing continual STEP WORK(the solution is in the STEPS)Ironically my sponsor turned out to have similar faith beliefs although that wasn't an initial criteria I was listening for.This was definitely my stuff but it was what I needed.,even though a sponsors main purpose is to help us work the STEPS.Just For Today dont use,seek that sponsor just like you did the substance and More is always revealed.Let us know how you are doing....

The most important thing that a sponsor has is a working knowledge of the 12 steps and traditions.
I agree with what Mike F said about putting clean time requirements or faith requirements on sponsors.
Sometimes we have to change sponsors.
Sometimes the lesson we need to learn is how to work through difficulties in relationships.
Only you and your higher power know which is right for you.
