Hello all, if anyone would give me some experience, strength, and hope on the 12th step, it would be much appreciated. I am just trying to get some brief outside influences. Thanks again
Hi Mike, Step 12 ...Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs. Well now...lot's going on here. first off it speaks of our spiritual awakening...this can be misleading. If you are expecting a sudden and dramatic "POW" what some call a 'burning bush moment' you may be disappointed. It usually comes in baby steps. We get little spiritual insights as we continue to live by spiritual principles. Trying to carry the message is pretty clear...We share at meetings, sponsor other addicts, and answer the phone when it rings. Practice these principles in all our affairs....We LIVE by the spirituality embodied in our steps. We BECOME honest, open minded, willing, patient, humble, generous, and compassionate because we retrain ourselves to rely on Gods will instead of our own. My personal experience is that the principles of step 12 are an ongoing process. It took a few years of going to meetings, reading NA literature, speaking with a sponsor and other recovering addicts, daily prayer AND meditation. But by doing these activities daily, I grew more at peace with myself and the people around me. Life got better, easier, and more rewarding. Step 12...It's a beautiful thing.
Don gave a nice ,condensed summary of our 12TH Step. I would just like to add a some words that I would share each year at my Anniversary celebration in condensed form, WE are told we carry the message of HOPE to other addicts and share the principles of recovery and how they worked in our lives.Life takes on a new meaning and WE become spiritually refreshed. One aspect of our spiritual awakening comes from a new understanding of our HP as we share in another addicts recovery..WE are visions of HOPE, WE are examples that the program works and the joy WE have in living clean is an attraction to those still sick and suffering. WE are told the message we carry is meaningless unless we LIVE it and by living it,evidenced by the change in our lives, our actions give it more meaning than words or literature ever could. As I would share with newcomers at this celebration it was made clear the celebration was not about me but that anyone, even with one day clean could carry our message of recovery, our spiritual awarenesses would show up at many different times through our journey and though WE are at Step 12 the journey does not end here it is just beginning.. Nice meeting you ,hope to hear more from ya!!!

Thank you both for that. I appreciate the experience. I will be back on. I also got experience on here for step 11, and then I just sort of forgot to get on here until I shared my 11th step. NA has blessed me with many things that consume my time; however, that is no excuse. Thanks again, and I will talk to you guys later.
