New here where do i go first?

I would like to share my brief story.  First of all I would like to say I never thought in a milion years I would have gone sober. I thought I love the thrill of it looking, selling, hanging out and using, however this last year changed.  It started in sequince I need to buy pills to past my pissed test for the doctor I had to go to in three days. So like every month I started worring about it.  I finally got a friend to loan me the money accourse I had to pay him back double. Then I called a women I have known since the 80s to help me find the pills after hours of calling her she finally said come on the night before I had to go to the doctors and mind you its now midnight. I go pick her up and she asures me its all good on the way thier. After waiting for her to come back she reaches me bull shit.  I cried all the way taking her home. She said she was sorry and she would make it up to me.  So now I am going to lose my doctor. Two weeks later I got called in for a pill count because of the pissed test.  So I didnt go got canceled. Went to another friends the next day and she took 140 dollars of my money she is all fucked up and I am wondering until I found the syringe next to my chair full of water, and I forgot to mention before coming to me it only took her 9 hours and we live in the same city. She was loaning me the meds for a couple hours, until my check hit the bank. The next day when I went home it was all bad here I am sick again, no doctor, messed up friends.

I dont ever want to live that nightmare again or hang wih people like that again.  I can honestly say of 6 years of using pretty heavy I never ripped anyone off.  I am so so thankful to god for taking that monkey off my back.  Lifes not perfect but its the normal we all talk about. I know I am not going to use today or for the next 24 hours and that was the best gift next to goin to heavan god could have gave me.  biggrin My name is stel and I am an addict amen.

I do need a sponser and I really am looking for good new friends. My email is stel_428@yahoo.com

Hi Stel ! Welcome to MIP!

Thanks for sharing your story with us.I am glad you are clean for today.WE always suggest making a meeting, and listening for a sponsor and listening to learn. You didnt mention if you were making program or not.We do begin our healing by putting down the substance but we have found getting in the Solution"The Steps" worked with a sponsor and the application of the spiritual principles in all areas of our lives help us ,one day at a time to remain clean. Our program Narcotics Anonymous is not about getting us clean but about teaching us a new way of life once we do get clean and participating in our own recoveries by making meetings and sharing and giving back to the best of our abilities.WE also know that those who find sponsorship valuable get the most out of our program..Here is a linK to our website in case you havent been there,do not have any literature or information to you. GOOGLE   www.na.org.     You will also find on the site meeting places near you or you can call the Helpline in that area.Sandusky??? Anyway ,glad you showed up here.We are here for each other, sharing our experience, strength and hope in a loving and caring manner,no big I's or little U's,just one addict reaching out to another....Hope to hear more from you....smilesmile

Glad you found us. The most important thing you can do is make in-person meetings. You can find a sponsor there who can help you work the stay. And don't use, no matter what!

You never have to feel this way again.
If you get to meetings and follow suggestions you have a good shot at being free of this.
Wishing you all the best.
