I would love it if when you have time you could go in under my username and post this I cant post anything iwth a alink my computers fucke up na.activeboard.com I have been clean since 10-16-12 Its been a real struggle at times because I cant get to meetings as i dont have the money for a cab or gas. Today is terrible as I layed in my husbands arms crying in pain. And frustrating because the pills are out in the open he never put them up. At anytime I could go get them. Today i had them all day so i could take them to the doctors and dispose of them.. I want to use so badly and have no sponsor just liticure to read. I did make an appointment with a acohol and narcotics councilor today for next week. I just have to make it an week. one week and ill have hope again hopefully. I have been a jon and off recovering alcoholic for years. NothI ng I ever experienced was ever as hard as it is to not take a pill when you hurt. And just saying I will not take a pill over and over again doesnt seem to help. So hopefully when I get my books in two weeks. If anyone has advice im always willing and open for help. Thanks Candi . Congratulations on posting instead of using! NA Meetings are the heartbeat of NA. Maybe you can call a Hotline and finagle a ride, or get your husband to drive you.

I agree with Mike check out some of those suggestions he put on site and also very important to remember, you don't have to just make it one week,you only have today.Just For Today you don't have to use. Remember also you only have to do this once,the pain will subside but you may need medical help we are not doctors and do not advise,WE share our experience on things we did to get clean.Take it hour by hour,Hope is your frame of mind and based on the evidence of recovery...,roll the tape all the way to the beginning.Each day you detox you are closer to freedom but again you may need medical help?. My now 27 year old son detoxed a few times from a $150.00 per day KING KONG with help, but it wasn't until his willingness caught up with his desire to NOT use DID he find recovery.Continue reaching out and not using and you can do this. Alcohol is also a major drug,same scenario for all addicts ,WE need to stay away from the first or next one..As long as we do that ,we got a shot......I will lift you up in prayer.Let us know how it goes....

If you can make an appointment with a counselor why can't you make a meeting? I have nothing against drug and alcohol counselors, but the only thing that worked for me was Narcotics Anonymous. Prayers for your health and recovery.
